Iconic Canadian retailer, Roots, has chosen the Trans Canada Trail as its charity of choice for its annual Canada/Roots toque campaign. Inside each Canada/Roots toque, there is a hangtag that says the following:

True to our core values of health, fitness and a love of Canada and the outdoors, Roots is contributing $2.50 from the sale of this toque to the Trans Canada Trail. The Canadian government will match 50 cents on every dollar raised so your purchase will mean a $3.75 contribution to the Trail.

Roots is launching its campaign with a full-page ad on the back page of the Globe and Mail’s Style section featuring Wayne Gretzky (yes, that’s right, Wayne Gretzy!) wearing the Roots toque. You can see the same image on our TCT website, where we are helping to promote the Canada/Roots toque campaign and its contribution to the TCT.

Roots will be promoting these toques in their 130 retail stores across the country while quantities last. They will also be promoting them in their social media channels.
